Viña Real Crianza 2021

Viña Real Crianza 2021, made with the Tempranillo variety mainly plus Mazuela, Graciano and Garnacha, owes its name to the proximity of the vineyards to the Old Camino Real.

CVNE is the winery that gave rise to the company in 1879. And even today it preserves its original location: the Barrio de la Estación winery in Haro, in Rioja Alta.

Preparation and aging

Viña Real Crianza 2021 is a single-varietal 100% Graciano grape. Wine made from grapes from the Rioja Alavesa area, harvested manually and made in Viña Real. The destemmed grapes are placed in stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation takes place for 10-12 days with temperature control between 26-28ºC. The wine, after malolactic fermentation, passes into French and American oak barrels where it remains at 13-28ºC. 14 months.

The wine is racked during its stay in the barrel every 5-6 months to promote its maturation and correct organoleptic evolution.

Tasting Note of Viña Real Crianza 2021

• View: Viña Real Crianza has a garnet red color with violet highlights.
• Nose: Intense aromas of red fruits (raspberry, blackberry) with predominance of notes of fine oak wood. Noteworthy are its memories of sweet, toasted and balsamic spices.
• Mouth: Its mouth is structured, round, with a good blend between fruit and oak. The finish is broad, with medium persistence in the aftertaste with well-balanced and fine tannin. Its passage through the bottle ends up rounding out the character of this Rioja Alavesa wine.
