Viñedos del Contino was born in La Rioja Alavesa, on the banks of the Ebro River, and in the image of the best Aquitaine châteaux, the Burgundian clos or the Californian single vineyards, producing only wines from vineyard plots that they care for and pamper within their own estate. .

Preparation and aging

Contino Viña del Olivo 2022 has been made with Tempranillo (88%) and Graciano (12%) grapes from a meticulous selection. Perfectly ripe grapes were selected and harvested manually from our own vineyards around the Finca de San Rafael. These grapes, after destemming, fermented in 10,000-liter wooden vats.

The aging took place for 17 months in American and French oak barrels. And finally, a 1-year aging in the bottle, aging in the cellars until it is released to the market.

• View: Contino Viña del Olivo has a ruby red color with attractive youthful nuances, limpid and medium-high layer.
• Nose: Very intense nose with an initial spicy touch that gives way to blackberry and currant fruits and a final evolution towards balsamic notes such as anise, mint and licorice.
• Palate: The palate has good tannins for its conservation and is broad, with a retronasal of ripe fruit and tones of cocoa.
