VT Castilla y León is a protected geographical indication (Wines of the Land Castilla y León). The wines are made with grapes from this same Autonomous Community. The red grape varieties allowed in the VT Castilla y León are Mencía, Prieto Picudo, Tempranillo, Juan García, Rufete, Pinot Noir, Garnacha ink, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chelva, Garnacha Roja, Garnacha Tintorera, Malbec, Merlot, Negral, Petit Verdot , Syrah and Graciano.
